A collaboration of seven grassroots organizations, EJAM is a 501(c)3 non-profit building working-class power throughout the state. This means working-class people who are organized and trained to positively influence policy changes in their communities at all levels resulting in livable wages, job stability, and improved quality of life. Funds donated to EJAM are used to develop leaders, educate voters, and strengthen organizations dedicated to social justice issues. Contributions to EJAM may be tax deductible
EJAM’s sister organization, Michigan Economic Justice Action Fund (MEJAF), is a 501(c)4 directly engaged in lobbying legislators to pass laws and policies that improve wages and benefits for low-income workers. Funds donated to MEJAF cover costs for canvassing, communications, and advertising. Contributions to MEJAF are not tax deductible.
